Sony Xperia S

It started at Barcelona during the Mobile world Congress where Sony unveiled its flagship device for 2012 – the Sony Xperia S and also announced a clutch of Xperia devices that would fill other gaps in Sony’s portfolio. Thankfully, Sony didn't tease Indian customers for too long and the Xperia S has reached these shores in good time.

The Xperia S joins the unibody bandwagon with a form factor that's reminiscent of the Nokia Lumia and the new HTC flagship – the One X. So no micro SD card support (although the 32GB on-board should suffice) no removable battery, but you do have a micro-SIM slot. The clunky form factor can take some time getting used to, as can Sony's decision not to launch this device with Ice Cream Sandwich OS. The device currently runs a Gingerbread OS which you have to put with till Sony delivers the promised upgrade to ICS in a couple of months.
